Visa Procedure

Required Documents

  • Proof of Means of Subsistence: Bank statement or employer guarantee demonstrating sufficient financial funds.

TRC Procedure

  • Electronic Registration upon Arrival: Foreign workers must register their residential address (Beli karton / White Card) within 24 hours of arriving in Serbia (usually handled automatically by hotels/landlords).

  • Biometric Data Capture: The applicant visits the local Ministry of Interior (MUP – Uprava za strance) office to submit physical original documents and provide biometric data (fingerprints, facial photo, signature).

  • Work Authorization: Under the unified Single Permit system, the foreign worker is legally entitled to start employment once the electronic Single Permit decision is officially granted.

  • Issuance of Biometric Card: A physical biometric card (Jedinstvena dozvola) serving as both the Temporary Residence Card and Work Permit is issued, valid for up to 3 years depending on the contract term.

  • Extension & Employer Change: The permit can be renewed online prior to expiration. Changing employers requires updating the permit authorization with the new employer’s details via eUprava.
